Yes! This news dissapointed me too! Ugh. I mean, I like Affleck, but no, I was hoping for something new out of this version of Batman to inspire me. He is such a huge celebrity that it takes away from watching Batman and becomes watching Affleck playing Batman.

Affleck is best at being comedic and cheesy. And thats okay, for other movies and even for Batman. But I dont see this movie playing into that strength considering how serious Man of Steel was.

Apparently Snyder saw something he liked. Again, I think he probably will be passable as Bruce Wayne - but I can't see him as Batman.

He has the chin, that's about it.

I remember how Anne Rice fans freaked out when Tom Cruise was cast as Lestat in "Interview With The Vampire." But Cruise did a surprisingly better job than I thought he'd do. Although his co-star Brad Pitt would have fit the role better; he wasn't quite a big star yet. People howled that Germanic-looking Daniel Craig couldn't pull off James Bond, and Craig proved them utterly wrong. Who knows, maybe Affleck might drive himself to prove he can do it.

I saw "Daredevil" on a plane. I kept laughing at how Daredevil was so slow getting from point A to point B climbing on buildings and stuff, he probably would get there faster by taking a cab.
