Sleepy Hollow & Agents of SHIELD - thoughts

So far this season I've watched 2 new shows, Sleepy Hollow on Fox and Agents of SHIELD.

HAHA! I agree with 100%

Sleepy Hollow ... love, loved it! Yes, procedurals... done with those, but this show is so over the top, scary, funny and the 'fish out of water' never gets old, at least not yet. I admit it. The diversity drew me to it, but I wasn't expecting to like it this much.

Agents of Shield, yep, the non-diverse cast is very jarring. I haven't watched any of Joss's shows. I barely made it through the pilot and I couldn't get through the second episode. One more episode (which is my norm for new shows), then I may be done with this one. What a shame. I wanted to like it, truly.

I really don't know what's going on w/ SHIELD, it's just not working. I think the cast is all trying too hard, maybe? All I know is I still don't overly like Skye, the guy who's Ward just seems utterly talentless, or at least his writing is blah. It's clunky and obvious that they want you to 'ship Skye and Ward.

About the only things I liked in the second episode were again the actual storyline, I still like the geek-duo, and I love Melinda.

I'll probably watch a couple more episodes, but yeah if I'm not fully hooked by 4 - I've got way too many other series to watch to waste my time on this one.

I hear you about trying to push a ship that has absolutely no chemistry! *blah*

I also hear you about too many shows. It's not so much that, but it just seems like there are A LOT comedies. The state of world does not make me want to watch comedies.

I tried Brooklyn Nine-Ninety.. *meh*

Can you recommend a good comedy show? I'm heavy in drama and I have nothing against comedies (Modern Family, New Girl, ??), ??? There must be more..?!!

Well the best out there for sci-fi fans is The Big Bang Theory. The show is hilarious, it's Friends-geek style.

I just watched the premiere of Super Fun Night and enjoyed it.

I don't watch a lot of comedies either, mostly because most of them out there just don't interest me. I miss Chuck - it was my fav light-hearted show :(
