trip to Savernake Forest

Saturday night I decided that, if the weather was nice Sunday, I would go to Savernake Forest in Wiltshire, some place I've wanted to go for a few years. They filmed part of A Feast at Midnight there and at the nearby Tottenham House when the house was still Hawtreys School. The house has been mostly uninhabited since 1995 or so, and it is now

I think it's a pheasant hen. I agree the sign was a bit premature, and I agree with your last sentiment. I hope you're doing well--I did a college fair here in London yesterday, and one of the students who came to the U of C booth asked if she could be a lifeguard as a student, and I told her yes and that one of my good friends had been a lifeguard. /B/
