Like I said, I'm in Disney World. Today I met Thumper, from Bambi, which was pretty cool, because as some of you recall, Thumper has a very famous quote:

If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all.
Some people who have recently discovered that there is indeed someone on the face of the planet whose name happens to be Robert Kahne, ( Read more... )

Oh, don't be so hard on yourself. You made a mistake. It had some horrendous consequences, yes, but you learned a lot. So I mean, out of the Disney realm and into Looney Toons...as Bugs Bunny would say, "Back to the drawing board."

Don't worry about it, kid.

If you thought Yarmuth had a chance to begin with, you may be a little out of touch. You can't argue that any way from Sunday. 15 years of LEO columns equals a major loss.

Moderate Democrats are refusing to vote for Yarmuth because he's phony. Grassroots groups refuse to support him because he's not DOING anything and didn't DO anything during the primary but spend money.

He should have kept his promise not to run.

I'm done explaining why John is going to win. But he is. John is neither a phony and he's doing a lot. The stuff he's doing, however, is a heck of a lot more effective than standing on street corners yelling at people, especially in places where people already know who he is. Andrew Horne will learn, and get better, in the future, I hope. He's a good guy.

Uh, kid, this isn't about Yarmuth-Horne anymore.

This is about Yarmuth-Northup.

If you haven't figured it out yet: Andrew Horne didn't run to win. He ran to build name recognition at the behest of the Party. Upon running, they realized he was a prime candidate and the DCCC pushed Yarmuth to get out of the race.

Yarmuth is currently trailing Northup by more than 70 points. 70 points. The Northup crew is already out in full force. They're spending money. They have over $3million and plan to triple that. The national money machine won't even touch Yarmuth.

Wake up.

Stop saying "kid". He is an adult. Treat him like one.

hey man, its been a while, but i figure become a local tabloid- style figure might be kind of rough on you. remember the old ignore anonymous lj comments rule, theyre usually not worth it anyway, not a single one of them knows you enough for them to be worth it. I'm not claiming i do, but i know youre a good person who has very strong convictions, which living in nyc for a year has shown me to be a rarity. I think new york might be the easiest place to be a democrat in this country today, but what i get from the folks that march in union square is more that they need a reason to be angry and rebel than actual concern for the cause. Have a good time in disney world, maybe ill see you this summer before i head back to the city.
