seeing your lj on tv has put me on the verge of making mine friends only as well. it was pretty creepy. i've always thought switching would be a cop out too but i'd like to get a job in the future sometime and/or not be harrassed by the media/department of homeland security. i sure as hell hope grad schools don't look at personal websites...
