Pining For A Non-Gender Specific Pronoun

I know that’s probably not on everyone’s wish list, but I sure find myself longing for one lately. I cannot believe the English langue doesn’t have one. Somebody was not thinking clearly when they sat down to make up that pronoun list.

Technically, we do have a non-gendered pronoun in "one". But it isn't nearly as flexible as one might wish because of how it conjugates, etc.

In other news, the plural "their" is coming into common usage for just this avoidance-of-he/she reason.
