If they could have kept the Misha/Cas stuff a secret, this would have been way more emotional. Why have them burn Cas when there was no way to keep mum about Misha? I mean sure Dean is gutted that his bff is truly dead this time but he's not. And I will give props to Jensen for his God scene. Dean just wants his family back. Jack is the most powerful being they've faced yet and he is at a loss. His mom got sucked into an AU with the devil. But why not ask Amara? She had that Binet for him. God's ignored his prayers for years.
Sam is back to seeing a monster as a blank slate. I am uncompletely uninterested in nature v. nurture. I do not find Jack remotely interesting. And they need to dump Lucifer as fast as they can. Poor Mary being stuck with that boring whiny cry baby. Maybe she should just stick her own eye and call it a day.
Boring start to this season. Unsurprising. Do not name check Crowley. I am still fragile. 😢
