I'm remembering a study I heard once that said most adults said the best years of their lives were in their 40's and 50's, when life had settled down and was just good. Before then, especially in their 20's, it was just too chaotic. Whenever I think life is too much, I think of that study and feel better, because it really will calm down. You're heading in that direction, that's all.

Yay for introspective nights!

Life is good - or at the very least, always moving, and always changing. It's good to take stock on where we come from, what we've got, and where we're going... I'm glad you chose to take us with you on this one :)

Cheers to you and all you're working towards!

glad to see that every once in awhile, you're still prone to some introspection... :-)

Huh. I've been staring at this line for half an hour, trying to think of a tidy way to conclude this post with something profound and philosophical.

don't try too hard; it is just fine as it is.

and thank you for writing it.

introspection / retrospection is always one of the most difficult things to express. the past can define us, and the way that we see ourselves defines some sort of current reality.

but not many have the ability, or desire, to examine the past and present.

seven years ago, i was in a terrible place in boston. if someone told me where i would be today, then, i would have never believed them.

but we catch as catch can, no?

along with the young man
with his reputation behind him'
