Gosh you have my sympathies. There was an article about the buglury rate being high on your road but I didn't think it extended to people oppotunistically wandering through peoples back gardens.
Thats quite screy as it is not easy to get around the back of your house.
My old house was broken into in spite of having a hard-to-reach back garden - they came over the back fence, using someone's shed to climb over, and must have had a big bag 'cos they nicked two laptops, two digital cameras and a personal stereo, plus some other odds & ends. They used the stepladder down the side of the house to get up to my bedroom window to break in. Then they couldn't get out of the front door because it was non-Yaled.
Sympathies to you guys, though. You clearly need a system like this...
my sympathies too... Thats just crazy - as mentioned, there's opportunistic then going out of your way, as the gardens arent that accessible. Unless there have been other reports from neigbours...
Hmm, well that sucks big time. And as others have said, pretty darn opportunistic - to the point of suspecting a little more than casually wandering through your back garden.
Makes me grateful I live where I do. Whilst there's an inviting field behind my house to do a legger through, it's the poorest part of Malvern and 'bad things' happen to burglars caught in the act round here. Not that my close is anything but peaceful, but I've left my front door wide open in the past and not had anything nicked. Not that I do that as a matter of course.
