Sirs,

This memo is to serve as your written notification that I am currently pregnant and am planning on carrying the baby to term. According to Starfleet regulations, I can continue to serve at my post here on the Enterprise until the start of my third trimester, at which time I intend to request either a medical leave or a transfer to a station or planetary base. By this timetable, I will be leaving the ship sometime between mid-April and early May.

I would like to apologize in advance for the inconvenience that my departure from the ship before the conclusion of our mission will likely cause. I will, of course, be more than willing to help train a suitable replacement for my position.
