[kicking back on Risa: open]

As she finished the last little bit of work she had to do before leaving the ship, Chapel actually had to fight the urge to throw her hands up in the air and cheer. She wasn't a schoolgirl on summer break, damnit. But she was an overworked nurse who was more than ready for shore leave. She decided that jogging to her room to pick up her counterpart was a good compromise between childish enthusiasm and adult, professional restraint.

"Ready to go?" she called out, leaning just far enough into her quarters to grab her own bag and get the other Chapel's attention. "Come on!"

The two women hurried to the transporter room, Chapel setting a pace so brisk that conversation didn't even seem worth the effort. She didn't stop moving until they were standing on the transporter pads, where she turned to the other Chapel and said, with a grin and a wink, "nice outfit, by the way."

When they reformed on the planet's surface, Chapel threw her head back and spread her arms, taking in a deep breath of fresh air and enjoying the sun on her face for a moment. Then she dug out a PADD and looked something up.

"Looks like most of 'the girls' are at a shop right now," she told the other Chapel. "I said I'd go shopping with them, but I think I want a drink first - would you like to join me? Or I could send them a message and let them know to expect you if you'd rather do that. Or... Well, anything you want. Shore leave!"

She smiled broadly, and started glancing around for a likely bar as she waited for the other woman's response.

shore leave is so awesome
