My mum told me tonight that they're saving putting up the xmas trees until I come home. I don't think they will, they never do. I am a bit earlier this year though, so maybe. They're plastic and fake anyway so it doesn't matter.
Think your sister is having kids soon? That'll live things up, little baby cousins, hehe. =D
I'm still not feeling it either. I've decorated my tree, my nativity set, my cubicle in the office, and idk what else, but not even the weather is helping, it's so hot! =/. I may feel it next week when my kids are out of school and my family comes. I haven't even bought my present for Secret Santa and that's really odd. I always bought it like a month before. XMAS FAIL!
I'm feeling the same way. I'm really not liking all the materialism around the holiday and that my family is quite guilty of this aspect. I wish we could all just have a nice meal and that be it. I wish it was like when we were kids. I was thinking about that yesterday and how I loved Christmas and couldn't wait until Christmas eve and wanted to wait up for Santa. I also remember asking my mom how Santa was supposed to get in when we didn't have a chimney and we lived in an apartment. She told me Santa had a key to every house and he came in through the front door. Wow, how do parents come up with this stuff?! Have your kids asked about Santa yet?
It s amazing what we tell our kids about Santa to try to get them to behave LOL Like oh Santas watching or his elves are looking in the house window, oh he's sitting in our town this week so be good or we will stop by to talk to him LOL We have said it all and it doenst work unfortunately LOL One night we did some Xmas shopping we told the boys we were going to meet up with Santas elves to pick out presents for them so the elves could bring back to Santa for him to check them out to see if they were ok and then wrap them and bring thme back on XMas LOL
