I'm so sorry. It never hurts any less, does it? It helps me to remember that cats are completely unafraid of dying. They hate hurting and are stoic about disability, but they don't go in fear of death, they can't even imagine it, really. So she wasn't fearful or distressed, and had a quiet and dignified end, which is a blessing.

I will be thinking of you today.
