Saturday 5 November 2011 - The Journey Begins!
*Drrrrr* the alarm rang; my friend and me had to wake up! It was 6.45AM, meaning we had to get ready quickly! Our bags were already stuffed with concert stuff and clothes the night before, so we only had to dress, eat breakfast, brush our teeth and wash up.
My grandmother brought my parents, my friend and me in her car to the train station in Den Bosch (a city close to my small village ^^; My pretty town doesn't have a train station, thank God we have buses, though...). The train would leave at 8.10AM towards Deventer (another city in the Netherlands). At Deventer’s train station we had to transfer on another rain, that would take us to Berlin. However, the train was one hour and thirty minutes too late. The NS (Dutch Railroads) and Deutsche Bahnhof (German Railroads) arranged a transfer of other trains. In the end we have transferred five times instead of two.
We arrived in Berlin around 5PM~6PM and caught a bus to our hotel, which was located five minutes away from the venue. We checked-in at the hotel, and my friend and me ran to our room. It was beautiful! It had super high and spacious windows and we immediately jumped on the beds, grabbed our lightsticks and began to jump (*ahum* well this was me on the bed, not my friend =,=;). After that we had a wizard-fight with our lightsticks (lol).
That night we went to sightsee a bit, and we visited “Check-Point-Charley”, the “Bundestag” (wow, that building is so cool! O,o), the “Branderburger Tor” (Junsu has posed in front of it ^^ he tweeted it, remember), and walked the “Unter den Linden” and after that we walked around in the neighbourhood of our hotel and had dinner at an Italian restaurant. It was delicious!
It was around 9PM that we decided to walk towards the venue “Tempodrom”. My friend and me were so surprised! There were so many fans already seated at the outside of the venue! It was freezing and they were out there, carrying blankets and trying to keep themselves warm by dancing the “Be My Girl” dance. Wow...
We went back to the hotel and decided not to get up too early, but definitely not too late!
That night we took quick showers and watched the “German’s Got Talent” (It was hilarious xD).
Around 11.30PM it was nighty nighty time for us, and we fell asleep, dreaming about the following day!
Sunday 6 November 2011 - Waiting for the concert!
It was 6.00AM when our alarm clock started ringing. My friend got up first and disappeared into the bathroom, while I read a few chapters of a YunJae fanfiction (oh yeah, I take fanfiction with me everywhere~).
We dressed ourselves, got our tickets ready and packaged our bags, and left for the venue. We said goodbye to my parents and walked outside in the icy-cold wind. We couldn’t believe people actually had slept outside in this temperature!
We arrived at the venue around 6.45AM and we were shocked by the queue of the VIPs and SVIPs; it was so long! We quickly took place in the row and now we could only wait…
The ticket desk would open at 10AM. (Some information about the tickets: there were three categories: normal , VIP and SVIP. My friend and me had VIP. On the tickets were no seat numbers; only which category you were. So, the first one to get the ticket changed, will get the best seat.)
Around 8AM my friend decided to get us some breakfast and she walked to the metro station close-by. She came back with sandwiches and hot chocolate! It was at 9.50AM some staff members started to prepare the stand of the goodies. We all watched carefully what they would put down on the tables. I told you guys the ticket desk opened at 10AM, right? That’s not true - in the end they started at 11AM, so we had to wait longer. My friend in the meantime went to the goodies queue, which was really short; so she got the goodies for us while I was still in the VIP and SVIP queue.
Some people gave out free stuff; and I’ve received these ones:
A group of Japanese ladies were a few metres away from me, and while my friend was at the queue of the goodies, I had decided to talk to them. I approached them asking if they were only here for the concert of JYJ or maybe a trip was included. But, yes, they were here only for JYJ’s sake. Wow! That’s so great! They were all huge fans coming all the way to Berlin to see JYJ! We have chatted for a very long time, and I’ve told them about my trips to Japan and such. It was fun to have a conversation in Japanese again. Even though sometimes I couldn’t remember which words to use, I made myself clear ^^. They even called me “kawaii” a couple of times. *blushes*. They thought I was a College student, so when I told them I was a “senpai” and in my third year of high school they all called me cute immediately. Haha. And then one of the ladies gave me a fan of Jejung. I asked them if it was really alright for me to take and they called me cute due to that gesture again. Haha.
The time we got our tickets was around 2PM. So, yes, we've waited from 6.45AM till 2PM for our tickets.
Although it was a very long time, I've enjoyed it very much! I've made new friends, and met someone from Twitter. Yep, it was great, even though the long time in the queue!
This is my ticket and the free poster, that was a free part because I had a VIP ticket.
These are the goodies we've bought at the concert. The poster and the small poster were for free, and the bracelets and buttons are so cute! ^^
