Angelina was nervous. She and Carmilla had been in the middle of making a rather complicated spell that would turn Christmas cookies shaped like trees into twinkling musical treats when Carmila said, "Harvey and I would like to speak to you this evening after the shop closes."
Angelina didn't know why she felt so nervous but she did. She tried to remember if she'd done anything wrong or if she'd ruined a good batch of chocolate. Had she magicked a cookie into something poisonous? Had someone complained?
She finished cleaning the counter top before returning to the back of the shop. She found Harvey and Carmilla waiting for her at the small table.
"All clean," she said, trying to force a smile.
