It could have been a worse birthday, Cho knew. The war could still be going on. She could be recovering from serious injuries. Instead, she was merely a bored and restless 19-year-old; she spent mornings helping to repair her former school and had just started a half-time job working afternoons at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shoppe in Hogsmeade. The one thing Cho knew was that she did not want to spend her entire birthday at Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. She'd been stuck at home with her parents last year for her 18th birthday, but this year was different. This year she was on her own. This year, she would go to London.
Dressing up in nice dark slacks and a royal-blue blouse, she Floo'd from the Hog's Head to the Leaky Cauldron and found a table near the bar.
"A bottle of firewhisky, please," she said to the wizened old bartender.
