Still happily full from his late lunch, Ron touched his broom down outside the shop first and peered in the windows. He couldn't see anything inside, but thought better than to press his face to the glass - if George had already been successful with the wards, there was no telling if such an action would earn nothing, a loud bang, or a healthy spattering of puce-coloured spots. Instead he opted for the stairs up to the flat, broom over his shoulder.
Removing the Impervious Charm he'd placed on his robes to keep them dry in the first drizzle of July, Ron shook his damp head and knocked before ducking inside. Honestly, it was warm enough, why was it still raining? "Hullo, cheery weather, isn't it?" he said dryly to the room at large, leaning his broomstick against the icebox and wiping his trainers.
