RP: Morning chores

She'd gotten up early. Early enough that it was still dark. Sleep hadn't been terrible the night before. It had just abandoned her much too soon. Unable to just lie there anymore, she'd gotten up, and dressed, and went down to get some juice and an apple.
Afterwards, she'd gone and gathered the eggs and fed the chickens and then sat in the garden and watched the sun come up. How the world still moved as it did... it was hard to understand. She'd started breakfast so mum wouldn't have to and once the others came down, she headed back to the garden. It needed weeding badly.
She got a tarp from the shed to place along where she was working, to keep her knees from being scrapped up. It was warm already and she had on cut offs and a tee shirt. She made sure that no one was stirring inside the house before rolling the sleeves up over her shoulders so that the sun could touch her skin. It was early enough that the scars shouldn't burn, but she had a feeling they'd look much better once she got a bit of color. She missed wearing tank tops.
She missed working too. She felt restless again, as she had at first, and was glad of it. Only now she had nothing to focus on. So she set about tearing weeds from the dirt, laying them aside in a pile. She had her work cut out for her and she worked steadily for a while, not really knowing what time it was.
