Summary: Rita's interview with Neville.
Completion: Complete
It had been a long time since Rita had visited Hogwarts on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The place was by no means deserted, but it wasn't anywhere near as bustling as it had been on the day she'd come to see Sybill.
She wondered if one of the reasons Neville had chosen the greenhouses was because there were no portraits there to listen.
Rita wouldn't complain. She loved greenery, leafy trees and flowers that gave off scent as much as she loved shiny things and pretty lights. Couldn't help it, and if greenhouses were where Neville Longbottom was comfortable, it could only make things easier for both of them.
Not that she suspected this would be easy for him, and not that she would let it be easy. She'd noticed a number of silences and evasions that she wanted to dig into, little bits of him she wanted to uncover.
She'd felt sated after the interview with Malfoy, but the prospect of another story made her warm with anticipation again.
The ground was damp. She followed the paths for as long as she could, then crossed the grass to the greenhouses gingerly, trying to avoid her heels digging into the damp soil.
