Minerva was pleased. Dedalus Diggle had been in that morning to sign his teaching contract for the Defense Against the Dark Arts position. Matilda Manning would be here on Tuesday to complete her paperwork for the Muggle Studies post. Bill Weasley had already signed his contract and Horace had grudingly agreed to stay on a bit longer as well. Despite his grumblings that he was ready to return to his retirement, Minerva suspected Horace enjoyed being back in the thick of things at Hogwarts as long as he wasn't tasked too physically.
It was nice to have her staff firmly set, although she suspected that teaching on top of her role as Head Mistress, might become too much, she simply wasn't prepared to hand over her students to just anyone.
