George had been nearly manic by the time he returned from the moor. He'd showered, changed his clothes three times and finally settled for pacing while Lee got ready, and the others watched him cautiously. When Ginny popped out of the floo he hugged her, but didn't say much. At half past one they all apparated to Hogsmeade, Ginny going with George.
The walk from the castle gates was silent. George had a hand laced with one of each of the other two. Not that he needed the support. He was fine. Make that Fine.
The castle loomed and George's heart sped up and then calmed back down. He was honored, and he was determined. They walked up the steps, separating as they did so. George hesitated only a moment before he pushed open the huge front doors to find Professors Flitwick, Sprout and McGonagall waiting.
Smiling, he walked up to the trio. "Thank you again, Headmistress, for doing this, and allowing us to be a part of it."
