RP: Lunch in the Common Room

Summary: Harry and Neville have lunch in the NEWT common room instead of the Great Hall.

Defense against the Dark Arts, Harry had thought, would be his reprieve in a week of being snowed-under by coursework. He hadn't be quite right about that, it turned out. It was every bit as challenging and demanding as his other courses had been so far. Which really, he should have expected. Diggle, and he didn't know why he was so surprised, was actually a decent professor, nearly as good as Remus if not infinitely more excitable. It hadn't been boring, though Harry doubted he could ever find that class boring, even if Binns had taught it this year.
Harry had heard, of course, what Defense had been like for the students who'd been here last year, along with Muggle studies; taught by Death Eaters. He hoped that getting a decent education for once would go at least some of the way toward things feeling normal here again.
Once class had ended, Harry made his way to the NEWT common room. There wasn't a lot of time before he needed to go to the Ministry, but he could try and finish his Charms essay while he ate the lunch he'd brought. Might be easier to concentrate in the relative quiet. He reached the portrait and said the password; the door swung wide. Luckily, there weren't a lot of people, but he did spot Neville at one of the tables. Hesitant at first, he walked over.
"Hey Neville," he said, lifing a hand. "Mind if I sit?"
