RP: I know I shall meet my fate

Ginny’d felt sick to her stomach all day. Perhaps that was what Professor McGonagall intended by making her wait so long to meet with her? Some hopeful part of Ginny’s mind wanted to believe that McGonagall was purposely allowing her to fret for three whole days, only to dispense some ‘hasn’t this been punishment enough?’ type of message.
But that didn’t seem likely. Neville worked at the school. Her misbehavior was different this time.
As to that, she still had no idea what Neville’s fate had been. He hadn’t answered her owl, or made any attempt to contact her since she’d been sent away from him on Saturday morning.
And despite Luna’s attempts to get her to remain objective, in Ginny’s heart she feared the worst - that he blamed her for the whole mess. She’d been the one to surprise him at his job, after all. He had no say in the matter. In retrospect, she was sure that if she had proposed meeting him at the greenhouses, level-headed Nev would have gently told her it was a bad idea. It was her own impulsiveness (selfishness?) that had got them into this mess.
That was what Ginny needed to convey to Professor McGonagall, regardless of what it meant for herself. Determined, she knocked on the Headmistress’s door and awaited her fate.
