Neville checked his fingernails carefully before he dressed for his appointment with Mrs. Malfoy. He had showered after returning home from work at Hogwarts this morning, but bits of dirt and plants were often stubborn. Going to Malfoy Manor to discuss working on the gardens was one thing, bringing pieces of Hogwarts greenhouses with him was another. Satisfied that he was clean, Neville donned his most professional looking set of robes and left for his two o'clock meeting.
The grounds of Malfoy Manor looked extensive. He supposed some of the maintenance was likely handled by an elf or two as it was at Gran's and Hogwarts. The elves could do a good job with routine chores. It was in determining what might need to be removed, replaced or changed where a witch or wizard would be preferred. Neville took a few deep breaths to steady himself. He wasn't sure which made him more nervous, that he was meeting with a Malfoy or meeting with his first potential client. Neville decided it didn't really matter. Nothing was scarier than standing stalk still with Severus Snape yelling in your face, unless it was yelling "Dumbledore's Army!" in Voldemort's face yourself. Surely after both of those, Neville was up to the challenge of a Malfoy or a client. Having put the whole thing in perspective, Neville smiled and approached the door for his meeting.
