RP: Late at Night

Eyes wide, Harry sat upright in bed. As his vision adjusted, he looked across the room at Ron, or rather, the lump covered in sheets, who was clearly sound asleep. Harry swallowed, throat dry, and pulled off the covers, rubbing at his eyes. Nights like this were common, and so it was with resignation that he stood up and looked blearily at the clock. He just needed the loo, maybe some water, then there was still enough time for him to catch a few hours sleep.
He stretched a little and padded out of the room, crossing the hall to use the loo quickly and then head down to the kitchen. When he'd finished, switching off the light and wiping residual soap and water from his hands onto his pyjama bottoms, he stepped out into the hallway, catching the sliver of light in the corner of his eye, one he'd not caught when he'd left his room in the first place.
Hermione was up, too. After a moment, Harry went with impulse and crept over to the door, frowning, and placed his hand against it. He was trying to determine whether he should leave it be, whether Hermione'd want her privacy. His hand applied slightly too much pressure on the door, though, and it swung open a little.
"Hermione?" he said, voice a bit hoarse from sleep.
