Susan loved Charms. It was always interesting to learn little tricks, and even though she had to try really hard to keep up, sometimes, it was at least fun to learn Charms, unlike Transfiguration, which seemed to be a lot more study and explanation, even though doing the actual transfiguration was dead fun.
She also loved eating at Hogwarts. She was doing it as often as possible now, even though she could have made lunch herself and enjoyed doing that. It was because the days were running out - soon she'd never be able to eat at Hogwarts again. It was for this reason that she was heading into the Great Hall for lunch.
Her short hair still felt weird. Really strange. It had felt strangest of all getting up this morning and not feeling it uncoil from her pillow like a snake. She'd had a shower, and it had taken minutes instead of half an hour. She hoped she got over it soon, because she was going mad with the sensation of change.
Hermione Granger cut an inviting figure at the table, so she crossed to her, books in her arms. "May I sit with you?" she asked, softly.
