After Transfiguration, Hermione got her bag and went to the Great Hall. She was in a good mood. Class had gone well, and she was meeting Luna for lunch, which was nice because she hadn't had time to catch up with her friend in too long. It had only been a couple of weeks since they'd had lunch together, of course, but that still felt too long. One of the other negatives to NEWTs being over was going the be the fact that she wouldn't have the opportunity to see Luna except on Saturdays when she worked. Fortunately, it would only be for a few months, and they could keep in touch via owl.
There were times when February felt like a lifetime away. A distant point that wasn't near. Other times, it felt like February was next week, and there was still so much to learn. While she was looking forward to finishing classes and taking her NEWTs, she didn't know if she was ready to leave school behind. Maybe it was childish, but Hogwarts had become a home to her, and she was going to miss it, even if she was ready to move forward with her life.
It was a nice day out, clear skies but cold, so she was going to suggest that she and Luna take their lunch down to the lake. It would be lovely to enjoy the fresh air and talk with a good friend before she went to work. After work, she planned to go to Diagon Alley to see Fleur. They'd run into each other at the Ministry recently and made plans for her to stop by the agency, since they hadn't really had a chance to talk lately.
When she reached the Great Hall, she sat down at the end of the Ravenclaw table. Luna would be there soon, so she just watched people while she waited.
