Luna folded up the last of her letters, setting them in a neat pile on the table in front of her. She propped her feet up on the chair beside her, turning slightly so she could look out over the common room. She smiled, spacing out for a few moments as she watched some first years bicker over chocolate frog cards. They noticed her watching and edged a bit closer to each other, whispering, and it made Luna smile even wider before she turned away. Some things didn't change, which she supposed was good to know.
She sniffled once, but it was significantly better than earlier in the week. She wasn't afraid of sneezing on everyone, at least. She knew it was bad that she always waited until it was too late to take potions for her colds, but she preferred more natural methods of healing than lots of potions. Maybe it made her odd, but it wouldn't be the first thing that did, she figured. And she was getting better, which was the important part. She smiled faintly again at the thought of Madam Pomfrey shaking her head at her when she finally went to the infirmary a few days ago.
Glancing over at the stack of books she'd brought down, she debated doing some revising or reading for pleasure. She picked up her new book about India, wondering when exactly monsoon season was. It'd be a good thing to read for now- she wouldn't get too wrapped up in it in case Shelby or Reed came around, and she'd be able to get up in a little while to send the owls off if not.
