Professor Sprout told Neville to go home and try to stop looking like wet weekend before work tomorrow. He was pretty sure there were a few jokes tossed in there to try to cheer him up but he really wasn't paying attention. He needed to get home and clean up for his date with Pansy, but honestly he wasn't in much of a mood to celebrate. He was interested in hearing about how her work was going so far, though. Maybe if he was lucky she'd have an amusing story to cheer him up.
Neville figured Pansy had dressed up. After he showered and shaved, he dressed in his favorite green shirt and added one of the muggle ties he liked a lot. There was no reason not to look nice for her after all. Fortunately, Neville looked in the mirror while tying his tie or else he might have left without combing his hair. A few minutes before 6 o'clock, he walked down to Pansy's house and knocked. He hoped she wouldn't be angry with his lack of enthusiasm.
