Gawain finished buttoning his coat and stepped out from his office, carefully closing the door behind him so it didn't slam shut and disturb his secretary. He descended the corridor to conference room two and stepped inside, making his way down to the end of the room, where an old blackboard waited, obsolete behind the newer white board that stood out a few feet in front of it. That was, none the less, how it was supposed to be, because the blackboard wasn't just a blackboard.
Pulling a chair over, Gawain sat down to wait - with any luck, all the applicants would arrive at near enough the same time -- none would be late -- but how early they were would show Gawain how keen they were to please.
