Anthony wasn't sure the paint was entirely dry yet, but he figured as long as no one rubbed up against the walls, they'd all be okay. He'd spent Wednesday night painting, up far too late, and had, as a result, nearly been late to Obscurus Thursday morning. He'd managed to finish when he got home from work, and, really, the only bit that could still possibly be wet was the corner behind the screen, where his bed was. And he didn't plan on having any of his friends end up in his bed, anyway.
There were butterbeers in the cold box and a few ales as well, and Anthony had stocked up on snacks. He grinned as he scanned his flat one final time, excited to have the four of them together again in the same room. He hadn't heard from Terry, but maybe Michael or Lisa would know if he were coming.
Anthony's smile slid into a frown as his sights settled on the spot where his bookshelves should be. They were really the only thing missing. He wished Wayne had finished them--but no use dwelling on it. Someone was knocking at the door.
