Cho had been delighted to wake up early that morning to discover it was snowing. After getting dressed, she had gone for a walk through the streets of Hogsmeade. Warmer weather would be coming soon enough and she had wanted to enjoy the cold weather since this might be the last snow of the season. The streets and rooftops were covered in white and every footstep crunched in the snow. There was a freshness and crispness to the air that only a new snowfall could bring.
She had waited until The Bread & Biscuit opened for the day so she could buy herself a hot drink and picked up some scones and biscuits for her tea with Lisa. At the last minute she also bought a fresh loaf of savoury herbed bread. She had slowly walked back to her flat eating one of the biscuits as she drank her hot chocolate.
At lunch time, she had went into the kitchen to chop a few different vegs and start a pot of soup. The cold weather and then that delicious aroma of baked bread had made her want something hot and hearty. Just a simple chicken and veg soup. She had a quick bowl for lunch along with a slice of the bread and then cast a warming charm on the rest, in case Lisa would like some when she arrived. Any leftovers would be good served with sandwiches this week.
Cho got comfortable on her couch at an angle where she could still see the snow. Everything had been readied for Lisa’s arrival and until then, she was content just watching the falling snow.
