RP: Butterfly Garden

Summary: Neville, Greg and friends plant a butterfly garden as a surprise for Luna's birthday.

Neville thanked Mr. Lovegood for showing him the spot for Luna's butterfly garden. It was perfect. He'd been pretty sure it would be because he'd visited Luna last summer and had a good idea of what was around her rebuilt house. He called Lini and Coop to bring the plants he'd picked out, then sent them back on their way to the landscaping job in Devon they worked on Saturdays. Neville pulled out the extra garden tools and gloves he'd brought for people to use from the endless pockets of the apron Pansy had made him for Christmas to hold all his gear.
He expected Greg any time now, and Dean as soon as he had his lunch break. Neville assumed Harry and Ron would come with Hermione, who would probably want to change between her job at Hogwarts and coming to plant, so they'd be around a bit later. He knew Greg had asked Malfoy, but he wasn't sure Malfoy would want to get his hands dirty. Before people started to arrive, Neville needed to put the plan on the ground so that everyone knew what was being planted where. He cast the charms to transfer the plans to the ground and then made a few adjustments for the slope and the partial shade a nearby tree would provide early in the morning.
When everything was set up the way he wanted it, Neville cast charms to protect his denims from the damp ground before getting to work. It was warm and sunny today, but there had been enough rain the past two days that the ground was still a little soggy.
