"You're not nervous, are you?"
Danny raised a brow and looked at her, mid-stretch. "'Course not -- why, are you?"
Lola pulled off her sweatshirt and tossed it in the corner, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor of the mostly-empty room. "Why should I be? It's not like we've never taught this class before."
"I know, but it's different every time," he said. "Who knows how many people will show? Might even get an odd number."
"And wouldn't that be a disaster?" Lola laughed and grabbed his arm, pulling him up from the floor and into position for some simple steps. "I'm sure if there's an odd girl out, she'd be more than happy to settle for you."
Danny smiled wryly and moved into the steps, almost mindlessly; his hands on her hips, leading her through the steps -- not because she didn't know them, but because any dance needed a leader. He spun her out and brought her back in, mirroring her movements. "Sure you won't get jealous?"
She smiled as she twitched her hips. It was fun to play, even if it wasn't quite like that between them. "I don't know," she drawled, "I'm sure I'll be too preoccupied with my own partner to notice."
"Yeah, yeah," Danny laughed and twirled her again. "No carrying on with students."
Lola shoved at his shoulder and reached for her wand, turning on the music.
