I seem to blurt things out without thinking first. I know this and I've been trying to get myself to stop and think, but it hasn't worked too well over the years

keep replaying the one where I foot in mouthed how I didn't think a woman could have a 2 yr old. It flopped cause she was in her early 40's and I was all "no way you could have a child of that age" .

I was trying to go with the other direction that she was too young to have a 20 yr old not to old to have a 2 yr old.

DW helped with some salt on my foot. But I never have been able to let it go.

I had a dear sweet friend, Amy Everett. I went away for Labor Day weekend and a week of vacation and when I got back, there was a message on my answering machine from her brother - "We have a tragedy to tell you about."

I couldn't reach him, couldn't reach her parents, so I finally started calling mutual friends. I finally found Dorrie, and when she realized it was me there were two beats of silence and then "Hey! Have you heart from Amy?"

She felt horrible. After she apologized SHE was the one to tell me about Amy's sudden death from a blot clot in her lungs.

Sometimes your brain short circuits.
