We're being inundated with miniature ants. At least that's what they look like.
Stan just found a huge colony of these little guys under and around our dining area TV.
He's out to buy some ant spry to kill these little guys.

Then when the killing mist settles, we're going to dine on steak/white mushrooms/onions/and a buttery baked potato.

Sounds like so-called sugar ants. They invade our kitchen every year and I put out Raid ant traps. They disappear totally after that though it takes a week or so before they do. That way you're killing them in their nest as well.

I hate ants.

Dinner sounds GOOD!

Once you've beaten them into submission, a few cotton balls placed here and there with oil of peppermint (essential oil) helps to keep them at bay. And is way better for you than Ant Spray.

And it's better for the cats. I hate using poisons around the cats.

Always dangerous. I see Donna mentioned ant cups. They have always worked for me. This past December/January, when SallyCat was still with me and eating that expensive food, I got an ant infestation of the kind you mention here. Seems the ants loved that expensive food, as well. The peppermint oil worked well, as did citronella oil and lavender oil. I just wiped all the baseboards with it and then left the cotton balls. like I described here. Using poison around living critters makes me very nervous.

I've never seen sugar ants before. They're very tiny.

I wonder if the ants mean rain? Here, I use ant rid.

And your dinner sounds yummy!

It's been raining off and on for a couple of days now, so maybe you have something there.

Dinner was so yummy I wish I could eat some more of it this morning.
