Oh, goodness, I love my friends. And fanart.

I have two friends in real life that regularly read my work. They have names, but I asked, and they'd both rather I didn't share them. Thus, they are Roommate and Friend-From-Across-The-Hall. (I live in a dorm.)

Roommate has known about my work since pretty much the beginning. I don't like to walk up to people and be like, "lol hai I write gay romance stories." That doesn't tend to make me many friends. And I like having friends. But Roommate is just truly bizarre. In fact, most of her comments are begging me to make one of my characters either morbidly obese, or die of prostate cancer. She is just convinced that Ethan from Rhapsody dies of prostate cancer. At this point I don't fight it anymore. Grey is her current target for obesity and prostate cancer. And Amir, when I actually work on Fragment (lol, that never happens...). Poor guys.

Speaking of Grey, segway! Friend-From-Across-The-Hall recently got hooked on 476, and decided to draw her interpretations of the main characters. (She drew some for The Collective Marge, too, but they contain some inside jokes that haven't made their way into the main story, yet. She's the one that I kept running into Clif with, if you saw that author's note.)
Anyway, picture!

And this sort of thing is why I love my friends. Rome making out with his cello, Grey avoiding furniture, Denmark being hyper, October hiding from his solo album, and Kenya being Wonder Woman and shielding herself from the onslaught of testosterone that the others undoubtedly shove in her face at all times.

She also drew another picture that I have taped to my desk, of Rome creeping on October, thinking lines from Ke$ha's song, "Stephen." ("I wanna knit you a sweater. I wanna wrap you up in my looove.) For some reason, she can never remember their names. Rome = what'shisface. Kenya = Kenra. Grey = British dude. Denmark = Other what'shisface. And October, inexplicably = Stephen. Whatever. I can roll wit' dat. It's totally his middle name, now.

I'll stop procrastinating and go study for my fine arts test now... :(

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, I'm going to a book signing and discussion by Patrick Rothfuss this Friday!! He's the author of The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear, which I fangirled over a few journals back. Expect an incredibly happy update that night. I SO look forward to meeting him.

my friends are awesome, art, fic
