Stayed up late on a work night flying through this story; thanks for the enjoyable read! As everyone else mentioned, I loved the little parallels to canon; they were a nice nod without taking over the entire story. I also really appreciated the time you took to show Cas reflecting on his impulsive decision and how he didn't immediately find a fix, both in career and relationship; it was a nice display of choices having consequences and having to struggle sometimes with what you've created.
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed this. :)
I thought it was important to show the consequences of Cas' actions--the whole thing was sort of meant to parallel his fall from grace, and that wasn't exactly consequence-free. :P
It may be a while, since I've got an original fic I want to finish, but I do have a couple of ideas for more Destiel fics floating around in my head, so do keep an eye out.
Oh Wow. You had me already with the whole counselor patient thing because apparently I'm just twisted like that, but then the execution?! That could only be called masterful! Also I totally agree with the first commenter. A lot of people would have ended it as soon as their relationship started, but you actually bothered to keep it going and tie up all the little loose ends and pieces, so that made it all that much better! and obviously like the others already said the little bits of canon you worked in there - total genius!
Oh, no, you're not twisted...I have to say I enjoy a 'forbidden' aspect in my romance as well. But anyway, oh my god, thank you so much!! Haha, like I mentioned to that person, this was intended to be MUCH shorter than it ended up being, buuut the characters wouldn't do what I wanted them to, and I think it worked out all the better for that.
Anyway, I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this, and thank you so much for the lovely feedback!
I enjoyed this very much, and usually I don't read AU's. So that's saying something. Seriously, it was very well done, characterizations and all. Thanks for giving me a few hours of wonderful read. Oh, and BTW: I'm gonna put this on my Dean/Cas rec list.
Oh, wow, thank you so much!! I love AUs, but I've seen way too many that take the characters and make them...completely different people. I did try really hard not to do that, here, and it's a huge relief to see that I didn't fail too miserably.
Again, thank you so much. And for reccing it! :D I appreciate it a ton!
You are so stinkin great! I loved this! I love therapy!Cas, and the way you've written them, they compliment very well. Fantastic work, you should be very proud!
i really like the pacing here. not just in the writing, but also in the sort of ebb and flow of dean and castiel's relationship. the way castiel giving up his career as a counselor for dean is noteworthy but not the climax--of their relationship or of the story. and i love the realistic portrayal of addiction, both in terms of dean slipping up here and there, and castiel saying outright that the wanting never really goes away and it's a lifelong struggle

This comment -> all the awards. <3 I cannot express how happy I am right now.
I would reply more clearly to the individual points you made, but I just took my painkillers for my wisdom teeth and thinking is hard right now and I'm not sure how words work. But thank you. SO, so much. :D Feedback like this is the kind of thing that keeps me writing.
