Cynthia had been more than busy, trying to fix the situation that rose at hand. When Aaron had suggested a vacation for the group, she liked the idea of it. The dark corridors of the castle was... well, too dark to try and find anyone, so she had sent a small note to the League members.
She had to admit that when Lucian asked to talk to her, she was surprised. Trying not to ponder too hard about what he wanted to say, she made her way to the gardens.
Turning the corner, she finally spotted the Elite Four member in the dark maroon suit. Walking his way toward him, she nodded when he turned around.
Maybe he should've tried to be more active, too. Maybe he'd been selfish. With a slight smile he nodded at her.
"Hello," he said, continuing to watch her. Talking, he liked talking, but liking it never made it easy to go through a conversation of serious nature and complicated feelings.
Withdrawing his hand, the Elite put it and the other one in his pockets, boyish. He turned around, took a few steps in the other direction.
It had been a while since the champion had talked to Lucian, other than the minor frustration over the network. She had been so caught up doing her thing, and then trying to fix the black out, the time she spent with him now was almost awkward.
"...It has been busy, but I'm fine. How have you been doing?"

A few agonizing seconds passed, and Lucario nodded, indicating she was on his way. And it was true. A few more seconds passed, and Garchomp had managed to find her trainer.
Cynthia smiled faintly at Lucian, letting go of his hand, turning around to walk towards Garchomp.
"...If that was all, I shall have to take my leave."
She approached her pokemon, a hand on the pokemon's back as she jumped on to it, like the many times she had done so.
Not that he wanted it, but he understood and didn't resist when Cynthia freed herself from him. He was shocked, somewhat, and there was a really nasty feeling within him, but he had no real reason to force her to stay, even try. If she wanted to leave, she had all the rights. She would come back. She needed that space.
One thing he wanted to say. Without trying to come closer, he stood in the same place, crossed his fingers and hurried to tell her before she went away: "I really care about you."
Cynthia froze, unsure how to take this. However, she soon composed herself once again, reminding herself that as the champion, she can't lose her composure. It required her to stay professional at all times, even now.
"...Yes, and I really care about you too, just like... I care for Flint, Aaron and Bertha."
She looked over to Lucario, asking if he wanted to stay out a little longer, and he nodded, disappearing.

Gradually the laughter reduced to chuckles until he quieted down. Covered his mouth, as if he was sorry he'd done it. He wasn't. It had meant well.

Walking backward a few inches, he raised a hand to give her a small wave. "Go," he told her softly.
