Arrival at Vermillion City Gym haspokemon August 21 2010, 14:15:37 UTC

At first, Red wouldn't receive any response from the lieutenant over the speaker. Whatever it might seem like, however, the case of the matter was that Surge was going to greet Red right at the door.

That he did. The lieutenant clicked a button on the other side to allow the door panel to switch right open with a 'shhhhk'. Red would now be greeted with the sight of huge, hulking American with his arms folded over his chest. Not the most pleasant sight to some, perhaps, but the grin on his face was indication enough that Surge was in a nice mood today.

"Hey kid! About time you showed up!" Surge had been awake for quite some time. The military got him far too used to waking up earlier than most. He reached a hand out to pat him on the head. "You all ready to go?"

Despite knowing the man for several years now, Red still needed a moment to gather himself when standing in front of the muscular veteran, especially feeling a large palm suddenly grip his head. "Uh. Yeah," he nodded in response and straightened his hat after Surge let go. Even Pikachu was fully awake now, watching the gym leader carefully.

"Just waiting on some more people and we're good." Red dug into his pockets and fished out several tickets that covered the roundtrip ferry ride and a whole day at the springs. He handed the top one to Lt Surge. "This one's yours."

Erika had walked over to the small tree, releasing Roselia from her pokeball and asking her to cut it. With grace, the pokemon obeyed, and Erika walked in to the limits of her colleague's gym, her pokemon beside her.

"Hello Surge, Red" She had smiled at the two that had arrived.

Aboard the Seagallop Ferry haspokemon August 21 2010, 14:16:45 UTC

[[ooc: Red-mun says she wanted us to move to the Ferry now, so...]]

There had been a last-minute emergency at the gym this morning, so Green decided it was safest to head directly to the ferry instead of dropping by the gym first. After purchasing his tickets, he boarded the ferry and dropped onto bench near the entrance.

Man, but he was tired. After a few minutes, he drifted off to sleep with Eevee standing (curious and excited) guard on his lap.

By now, Surge felt that at least most people were ready, so he thought that he might as well board. He called out to the others, "Hey, I'm headin' out! C'mon and catch up!" He then exited the gym. Thankfully, he switched the doors on auto-lock and left them open for everyone else, so once they finished and the doors were closed, they'd be locked. He wouldn't need to hang back and wait for everyone to exit to lock the gym.

That was Vermilion Gym's technology for you.

He headed over for the dock. Considering that this was Lt. Surge of all people, the sailor nearby was already more than ready to allow him on, but of course, he flashed his ticket just in case. He then stepped up and boarded.

... Looks like someone had boarded early, too. He had to try to hold back a snicker as he noticed Green snoozing and cruising away. That was just amusing.

After a few small hellos, Erika thought that it would be a good idea if she went on the Ferry as well. A graceful edge to her walking, as always. She considered bringing out Bellossom to enjoy the weather, but not now. Maybe on the ferry.

As she reached the dock, she nodded and smiled at the sailor, and she showed him her ticket, allowing her access. As she boarded the boat, she noticed Surge standing by a familiar mop of brown hair.

"...Green?" She came by to stand beside Surge, looking over at the american gym leader in curiousity.

Daisuke had a habit of being quite a few things; among them was being quiet, unassuming, and curious. So when he'd heard about a gathering on One Island's hot springs, he'd decided to make a little trip out of it ( ... )

As Amelia walked to the next spring, she tried to keep an eye in the road and an ear on her mother, who was with her friends enjoying themselves. Old ladies; they always had the most interesting stories to tell... but they lacked shame. And Amelia didn't need to know that much about them. Really. - who would be interested in that affair that happened forty years ago?

However, almost all springs were quite full for her tastes, and she spent more time than necessary trying to find a quiet place. At the end, she chose one with few people, some her age and some older. Taking her glasses off, Amelia entered slowly, avoiding any close contact until she found a nice spot.

Relaxing herself, she let her body sink and waited for her glasses to lose their layer of mist. And once she regained her vision, Amelia realised how close she was to a young stranger.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you, I-," the poor woman stopped abruptly, redder than a tomato. She was only making fool of herself.

Taking a breath, she started again. "I'm sorry. I do not see very well without my glasses, and I... did not realise your presence until now."

"... C-Can I stay here? Or are you waiting for someone?"
