[CM] Another beloved tv star goes down
The new opening credits made me sad. There's a big hole in the cast picture. :( Love that Garcia took JJ's nameplate. Here's hoping that maybe they'll need it again someday. Also sad: Hotch passing out the case files. It just seemed wrong.
Dude. I never would have recognized Daniel J. Travanti if I hadn't seen his name in the credits. You can just tell that all these actors who have been typecast as kids or good guys LOVE to play the creepy serial killer. And Travanti? CREEPY. The bit where he peed his pants was way more creepy than sad. I'm wondering how much the character was faking and how much he wasn't.
I've resolved to stop reading/watching promos for upcoming shows. One, because this episode would have been a lot more effective if I didn't know going in that the unsub had Alzheimer's, and two, because one promo mentioned something that didn't even HAPPEN in this episode, but I bet happens in next week's.
Also? Morgan just needs to adopt Ellie and make her a junior member of the BAU. :)
Finally, on a shallow note: Reid, what the HELL did you do to your hair? Dislike, dislike. It's not geeky enough!
All in all, a pretty solid episode, I think.
