southern tour...

Sep 19, 2005 22:05

After our formal wedding next fall, Gary I want to take a vacation touring the south. We plan on moving down south as soon as he gets out of the army and will try and venture to smaller towns/cities. We need some suggestions! I am trying to get it together while he is gone, but I am having trouble thinking of places to visit! Suggestions please!?

You have to make sure to see the Lightener Museum, it's a crazy dead rich guy's collection of stuff. He had a mummy and Winston Churchill's lion!

I'm jelous!

One of my "must do before I am 30" is to take a road trip of the dirty south! From Florida straight across to California, and to spend time wandering mississippi and south carolina! Enjoy!!!

That is awesome! I like the idea of a dirty south trip better :P
The south is gorgeous and everyone is sweet; I'd be a belle over a yankee anyday :P I hope we will!!

well there are some good ones like ..... weatherford, wimberly, Burleson, Crowley. Im not sure how you feel about Texas. But I do have family in Arizona and they LOVE it there... I use to live there... its nice... they have dry heat and you can actually go to places that have some snow during the winter. Also I know people in a town called Benton Louisiana and its close to shreveport, another cute little town. Alabama has a place called Pell city, it a little churchy kind of town.

ok ok can you tell me and all my family are from all over the south..hehe! Good luck deciding and if you ahve any questions I can try to help.
