Everyone think good thoughts for The Dude today (my little brother). He is having surgery at Hershey Med this afternoon. He fell on the ice of my parents' driveway last night and screwed up his arm pretty bad. Plates and screws and a couple hours of surgery. I go through phases where I don't like music as much. I just don't make time for it because of other stuff going on, or I just can't get into anything new I hear. Periods like this make me think about what it is that makes music so powerful. For me, music is very nostalgic ( Read more... )

So far vacation has been great. Christmas was nice, both Claire and I were spoiled. I've seen a lot of friends (but not everyone I had hoped to see yet). We went to Philly for a day and the Mayor made us a fabulous meal. We are headed to Pittsburgh first thing tomorrow morning. Claire and I fly out of Portland tomorrow night at 11:35 pm. We arrive in Harrisburg around 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 23rd. We depart Harrisburg around noon on January 1st.
