Wow, has it really been three months since my last real update? I guess it has. Maybe Twitter ( @rdriessen) is partially to blame for it, but on the other hand I've been busy. Really busy.
My love for ferrets started years ago when meeting Duncan at _graywolf_'s place. Just watching him frolic around was better than anything on TV. Through the years I've read up on ferrets a little and noticed how much like me they are. When they're active, they're in total overdrive mode (like kittens, only ferrets manage to keep that up their entire life) and when they're tired they simply go 'flump'.
I also dream about once having a Siberian Husky as pet, but realistically they're not a smart choice for me, needing a lot more grooming, attention and activity than I can provide.
Yeah, I've been living with my parents for 6 months straight, and on and off again for the past year, 1-3 months at a time- I know *exactly* how you feel. Admittedly, my parents aren't very doting and will generally leave me along 90% of the day, but still, you are still always a kid to them. I set aside evening time to hang with them everyday, just so I don't make them feel like I'm just here for the sheer joy of it. LOL XD We get along well enough, but with the house trying to get on the market, my mom has a little "project" for me every other day. Blargh.
Ferrets are fun :D They are like little light switches: On. Off. I've had one from the time I was 2-18, two girls. One then the other, since they only live about 7 years. I like em, though I'm not sure if I have the energy to keep up with another. The the European ones definitely are stinkier than the US ones (because they remove scent glands here), but if you are used to it, then you're good :D

What made you choose ferrets for a pet? :)
