so after a near decade of being teased by my best NY friend Marisa, for being a devoted Marilyn Manson fan , something in the last few months made her curious to give his music a chance, and between my and her fiances ipods she is going through a 2011 Manson obsession and I love it.

Without having had internet back then, Manson represents many of the same things for me. It felt so revolutionary back then to be listening to music that was weirder and angrier than I was!

My most loved track is actually his "Down In The Park" cover. I used to go sit under the Rt 1 bridge in Edison in 1996-7, smoke bidis, and listen to that track, over and over again, by rewinding it on my walkman. I felt like a movie. A very angsty movie.

I'd also add Lunchbox (please tell her I suggested it if you do, I want to see if she remembers why that's funny to me and fitting for your description here) and either My Monkey or Misery Machine.

Because of the ridiculous amount of stupid stories Alyx told me to remind us and anyone who would listen the she "dated" Manson, I have grown to despise the man.

Did we ever make this day happen? will we ever?
