It's like I was puppeterring this great show and someone has cut one of the strings. Do you go on limping trying to make the best of it or do you call it off and give everyone their money back?
You tie the string back up as best you can, you hide the limp and you continue because no matter what you are a performer and the show goes on. Giving them back their money, or laying down and dying just aren't an option.
The pressure is too much, I've given them my all and yet I'm still falling short. Two years I've spent on this album. Two fucking years and I'm failing..I know I can't throw it all away and walk. I'm not allowed. But I will be giving something that is not to my satisfaction just to say I completed it. To me..that isn't worth it.
I've never known you to give up, never known you to give any less than your all. The pressure maybe enormous, you might feel like you are being crushed under the pressure, but you won't.
The thing about you Rob, is when you put your mind to it... when your back is against that wall and you feel as though everything is going to fall apart. You reach right in, and you pull out something that amazes not only you, but everyone around you.
You won't just complete that damn album, it will be the best damn work you have ever done. I know this, because I believe in you.
I'm floundering in distractions. Merck has started another project for me and it has my head askew. I'm not sure which direction to turn but the inevitible will come. I will succeed only if I want it bad enough. I have to learn to want it again. thank you for your faith...
