Out TV viewing has been shot since Jamie was born. We just don't have as much time for it, so there's been a backlog of a number of things sitting on the Tivo. Most problematically, there are a few shows that we watch together, and it would be the worst sort of infidelity to slip in a little viewing action

I hear that - we don't watch much anyway, but for the first 5 months or so, we just never had time (or I was just too tired to pay attention). Once C could roll over consistently and especially once she could sit up and play with toys on the floor, we got some time back. It also helped that we pretty much were only watching the entirety of Stargate SG:1 and the writer's strike was going not long after that. :)

After the boy was born, we went through the same thing. It led to a triage process where we cut out most of our TV. Later, you'll have a different issue where your tivo is being taken up by kid shows.

We didn't have a DVR when our son was born, and I tried using the VCR to tape things, but I quickly just gave up on watching TV altogether. Never went back, really; we mostly just watch whole seasons via Netflix now.

I can't wait for the new season of Burn Notice. It's definitely one of the best shows on tv right now.
