Awards are in the air. Voting is open for the Ennies, and the Diana Jones awards shortlist has been announced. In large part this has been greeted with enthusiasm, because both slates are filled to bursting with fantastic products. This has been a really wonderful year for gaming and it is telling how many fantastic games did not make any final

I actually haven't seen that much nerd fury this year. Maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong corners. It seemed to me that the ENnie judges did a much better job this year. However, the one complaint that the Free Game category should not contain free previews of otherwise commercial games seems pretty valid and not personal at all.
