Why Do You Think I Took You To All Those Police Academy Movies?

Fic rec: The Definition of Insanity by aliassmith is the most hilarious H50 police academy AU ever. I want to wallow in how fantastic it is and be able to write banter that effortlessly. Seriously, flawless execution of hilarity. I am in awe.

Head canon for Alex and Scott because I have been thinking about this for a while:

  • Alex has heard Cee Lo Green's ( Read more... )
  • dorkstar, fic rec

At least when your brain fails you it still produces useful and constructive thoughts.

About ALEX O'LOUGHLIN. And then I don't do any work. He should come with a hazard warning, honestly.

Scott can't think of any ringtone gay enough to suit Alex because the guy is his own brand of sparkle motion and modern music can't catch up to him.

This is quite possibly the best sentence I've read all week. Just. YOU. Making me giggle at work!

Hee! Why should I be the only one amused by my own antics, I ask you? ♥

I've not heard Kid Cudi, but if he's not impressive in multiple guest appearances I wouldn't have high hopes. It's like the waiter thing. You can tell a person's character by how they treat the waiter? You can tell a rapper's talent by their guest appearances. :B IT'S A LAW.

Not a hard and fast law, there have been some exceptions, but, I mean, there are some asshole waiters out there too!

What am I going on about now?

Hard and fast laws: the providence of pornos and dictatorships. There's a gender studies paper to be written there!

First off, thank you for the rec. I'm in the mood for fics. \o/

Second, you...you! I love you. I think this is going to be my default comment from now on but a)it's true, b)you're brilliant, c)now I'll be thinking about Alex and Scott for the rest of the night, thank you!

Oh and D? The neverending story kicked ass. I don't know what you guys think of it, but it was like the second "real" book I read (one without pictures, mind you, and it was fantastic because it was "interactive". And my first was anther one by M. Ende) when I was a kid and fell in love with that story, the characters and reading at the same time. Wait, I feel an epiphany coming. *ponders* OMFG I shipped Atreiu/Bastian back then and I didn't even know!!!!!!!! I...just...what? Give me a moment to recover cos y world is upside down. I've always known I started slashing early, but this is a lot earlier than I thought! I need to go lie down now. Wow *__*

I love The Neverending Story like crazy, but I have never read the book, which is just sad. I loved Atreyu and was pretty much Bastian as a kid, so you can see why I loved it so.

I loved it soooooo much!!! I guess I was so excited because it wasn't a boring book, the story itself was very entertaining, but the interactive bits? I loved those. Like, the hardcover edition my mom bought for me was printed in two different colors, one for the Fantasia universe and one for Bastian's world. I remember reading the first page and frowning at the very first few words (they were printed in reverse) and I told my mom I couldn't read that. She said to face a mirror, holding the book toward it, and I did. Dude, it was magical! In hindsight, it was silly, but my kid!self was positively delighted. I felt like I was inside that bookstore with Bastian and that feeling never changed until I was done with that book. Boy, reading the last page was painful! Michael Ende initiated me to reading (the first non-illustrated book I read was another of his novels), but the Neverending story turn me into an avid reader. ^^ I don't think I'll ever forget that story. And gah, now I feel like re-reading it! ^^'

    Sorry for the long comment.
