Then Like Suns, We Rise, We Rise.

I look like my icon all the time these days. I literally have to get up and take a five-minute walk every hour or so, so that I don't fall asleep at work, so that I don't get fired for falling asleep at work. I get seven to eight hours of sleep a night, and I am still exhausted when I wake up in the morning, despite the coffee and the vitamins and ( Read more... )

I hope you'll hear back from the doctors soon, waiting for results is frustrating and tough :/

I love Never Return to the Scene of the Crime so much!! I know lalazee will post a cleaned-up version to her journal at least.

I hope I hear back too. I hate waiting for results, especially when there's something very obviously wrong with me and I'm not hearing back from anyone.

And eeee, I cannot wait to read the cleaned up version! It was such a fantastic story. :D

sounds like you're not breathing properly. In my limited (and by limited, I mean stuff I read in my text books) medical experience, it's common for sleep apnea to keep you in superficial states of sleep, which means you're not really resting (psychically, even if technically your body is rested enough) which would account for the constant exhaustion.

Also, do take this drive-by diagnosis with a shaker-ful of salt, just in case. You should also stand by so as to better rub it in when it turns out I was dead wrong, or something.

Other than that, I'll be here, sending healing vibes your way (yes, I'm one of those folk) so that you get better soon and sleeping can go back to being awesome and restorative and TIME-APPROPRIATE.

I think it's a definite possibility, and I might ask my doctor to order me a sleep test, but I'm more convinced it's my thyroid. Just because all my symptoms fit in with my mom and sister, who both have underactive thyroids. But I can't rule out sleep apnea anyway, so I'll talk to her about it when I go see her next Thursday.

And thank you for your healing vibes and good thoughts! I really appreciate it, bibi. <3333

Any news from the doctors?

You pretty much describe how I feel these days. Plus, I constantly have abdominal cramps. IDK if that has something to do with the pill or what, but omg, it's driving me insane. I can't sit still for more an 30 minutes without starting to twitch and twist in my chair. The irony? The pain recedes only if I lie flat on my back, which is not really doable for 24 hours straight. Heh. I'm thinking some kind of food intolerance? IDK, I only know it's ridic

Yeah, I called yesterday, and she didn't find anything wrong in my tests. So I have to go see her next week to convince her that falling asleep at work means there's something wrong. >.>

I get abdominal cramps from my birth control as well! Which one are you on?

That sucks and yeah, it sounds like there's something going on with you. :(( I hope you can convince your doctor.

I'm on Diane, which is pretty strong, but I have PCOS so that's the one I have to take. I've been fine for years but in the last 3 months or so I've felt awful. It could also be stress (lots of bad things happened). How about you? You have been through a rough patch iirc so maybe that's a factor to take into consideration? Then again, when doctors are lost, they all blame stress.
